Oil art?

The internet is a mode in which people can get access to every peice of infomation they could possibly want. The oil program is an odd piece of art. However it could not be done in any other way than on the internet. The internet being a global market place has prices for every good and service you could possible want. Since the market place fluxuates the oil price program is a very unique way of looking at the price of things. Rather than seeing a big screen tv costs 1500$ it would show up as 10 barrels of oil. Personally i don't consider this art i consider it more of a way of changing dollars and cents into anouther monitary scale. Its like a program that changes dollars into euros. Art is a wide feild and some people might consider this art. I veiw it as more of a political ploy, however it is a very interesting peice and I enjoyed taking the time to look at it.
